A Coastal Transformation: Full-Service Renovation Reveal
Another full home renovation is in the books, and we’re beyond excited to unveil the before and after photos of one of our most rewarding full-service projects yet. From thoughtful space planning to elevated design details, this transformation is all about functionality, comfort, and coastal charm.
Client Goals: A Fresh Start with Function in Mind
Our clients came to us with a clear vision: a complete home refresh that would not only upgrade the aesthetic but also improve livability and future resale value. Their wishlist included:
New flooring throughout
Fully upgraded bathrooms
A complete furniture package
An additional bedroom/workspace to maximize square footage
During our initial review, we identified key cosmetic changes that would instantly modernize the space—most notably, replacing all dated gold accents with sleek, contemporary hardware. We also prioritized seating in the living area, aiming to create a layout that could comfortably accommodate the entire family—and their guests—while taking full advantage of the home’s incredible views.
Reimagining the Layout: Finding Opportunity in Unused Space
On our first site visit, we began brainstorming ideas for the new bedroom. It quickly became apparent that the unconventional living room layout left a significant portion of space underutilized. This gave us the perfect opportunity to build out a new, fully integrated bedroom adjacent to the guest bathroom.
To maximize its function, we designed the room to double as a workspace. A custom built-in cabinetry unit and desk provide a practical, beautiful solution for working remotely while in town
Smart Furnishing Choices: Comfort Meets Coastal Style
Rather than installing a traditional bed, we selected a queen-sized pull-out sofa from one of our go-to manufacturers, complete with a Tempur-Pedic mattress and custom blue fabric upholstery. This allowed the space to remain flexible—ideal for both overnight guests and day-to-day use.
We layered in rich walnut cabinetry, mother-of-pearl table lamps, a striking driftwood art piece, and textural pillows to round out the coastal aesthetic. Every design detail was selected with intention to create a calming, beautiful environment that feels like home.
The Result: Style, Space, and Function in Harmony
This renovation is a perfect example of how strategic design can completely transform a home—both visually and functionally. From maximizing square footage to curating a timeless, coastal-inspired design, this project checks every box.
